Talent Management & Retention Workshop

Thursday 22nd October 2009 08:30-11:00
Bolton Reebok Stadium, Bolton

Staff cutbacks are inevitable in economic downturns. However, leaders only have to cast their minds back to the 'right-sizing' campaigns in the early 1990s recession to see that the costs of redundancy followed by re-engagement are both high and unnecessary.

Topics covered will include;

• In the face of recession, what steps has your business taken in 2009, and what are their implications?

• Have you considered what core talent disciplines still remain relevant and have any new disciplines begun to emerge?

• When we emerge from recession, how will regional and generational differences impact global talent strategies?

• How do we ensue that talent management is treated as a core business process?

This workshop will explore these challenges as well as the cost to business of a ‘famine-feast’ reaction to talent and skills management, define and examine common factors used, look at how they are interrelated and share strategies for better talent management planning.

The seminar will also give delegates the opportunity to meet with other businesses over refreshments. This event is being co-hosted by Xchanging HR and HRRS.

8.30am - Refreshments. 9.00am - Seminar 10.00am-11am - Refreshments & Networking

Refreshments will be provided, on site car parking is free.
